Hailing from New York, the Bliss brand doesn’t take itself too seriously, and treatment rooms are a world away from whalesongs and waterfalls—instead, guests are treated to platters of brownies, olives and cheese, and rooms are decorated in a cheerful blue, with rubber ducks to accompany you in your bath soak. It has a manpedi zone which is perfect for pre-wedding parties with your bridesmaids, and its range of Bliss body and facial treatments are popular stateside for their dramatic, skin-perfecting results. Their signature Blissage is a 75-minute massage that envelops your feet in a warm paraffin wax while your tensions are rubbed away.

More Than Skin Urban Spa

Located right in the middle of Central, this cute and friendly spa has an antique Victorian era layout. It specializes in spa parties and can cater for up to 12 guests, for which you will have full run of the premises. It can also arrange for food, drink and flowers, so all you need to do is turn up. Check the website for its list of half- or full-day spa rituals. But if you’re looking for a place to beautify before the big day, More Than Skin has a Vichy shower, infrared sauna, hydrobath and VIP room, as well as facials and body treatments that use brands such as Valmont, Dr. Murad and Jessica for nails. It also has waxing and slimming treatments on offer.

For our money, the best venue is the Lan Kwai Fong Spa, which is situated in the middle of the party district, so you can hit the town afterwards. It offers the full gamut of beauty treatments, including waxing and threading, facials, massage and manipedis with OPI brand polish.
